Strolling Into A New Year With Nuna

This post is in partner with Nuna. All thoughts and opinions are my own. Please read my disclaimer page for more information. The weather in South Carolina is so up and down that we never know if it’s going to be freezing cold or warm and breezey. I am 100% ok with it being warmer than normal in the winter months because I love being outside. With five littles, it really doesn’t help any of us to be cooped up inside for very long. On the weekends, I try to find something fun around town for us to go do with all the kiddos and if I can’t find something…

Car Seat Safety and What Brands We Love and Trust

After #momlife-ing hard for the last seven years, I can say that one of the topics I’ve learned the most about is car seats. What brands aren’t great and what brands are. Where to place them in a vehicle and even the chest clip levels. I can easily say that this is a topic that brings out my mama bear and I always want to advocate for our children in this area. So many people (including myself) have gone wrong in this area and I want to share things that I’ve learned along the way to make it easier. When Nolan was born I was really uneducated about car seats…

    The Modern Mom’s Diaper Bag

Happy TGIT everybody! Not only is it an amazing day for my favorite tv shows but it’s Derrek’s last work day of the week. Hellllooooo parental relief. Seriously y’all, I jump for joy every Thursday and you can’t wipe the smile off of my life. My life is hectic and it’s such breath of fresh air on Thursdays. Not only are all those things that I listed great but it is absolutely gorgeous out so we are going to be hitting up the park, for sure! I’ve been making sure to work out every morning and I replaced my breakfasts with smoothies for a little bit so I can cut…

Car seat safety: what I’ve learned as a Mom of Three

I’ve had numerous questions about our car seat situation and because it is National Child Safety month I feel there is no better time to share! When Nolan was born I was really uneducated about car seats and just went with the one that I thought was the cutest. I had the little bear strap covers that I thought were great because they were soft and they would protect his neck from the rough straps. I was so wrong because those cute little strap covers caused the chest clip to only come up to his belly. There’s a a reason it’s called a chest clip y’all! In a car crash,…

    7 A.M. Enfant

Hey y’all! I hope you’re having the most amazing day! I’ve teamed up with 7 A.M. Enfant to show how I’ve transitioned through the seasons with my daily walks. Now that the weather is much cooler (this week anyway) in South Carolina, we have been all bundled up and going a little crazy with cabin fever. I’ve vowed to not let the weather get to me and use it as an easy excuse not to work out. It’s really important to me to stay healthy for myself and my family, and the few weeks I was sick, I honestly feel like I felt worse because I wasn’t working out regularly!…
