There has been so much going on in our little world over the past week! We have been slammed with Sweet Tea Jewels orders, and I am by no means complaining, but that’s why I have been a little MIA here on the blog. I have some really fun posts coming up about topics y’all have asked me to cover. One of those is about mom fashion. I think this comes up a good bit because so many moms lose themselves (and time for themselves) after they have a baby or have multiple children to keep up with. Children require a lot of attention, and most mothers find that they shower their children with attention and start to neglect themselves. Therefore, it is super hard to get out of PJ’s some days, and believe me, I know because I am one that could stay in PJ’s all day, every day.
Despite my love for comfy pajamas, I make sure that I get dressed and look presentable when we leave the house because that’s just who I am. It makes me feel so much better about myself when I am out of the house in a cute top, jeans, bangles with my hair tamed and minimal makeup applied rather than in my old comfy men’s PJ pants and my hair thrown up in a bun with a clean face. I leave the later look for when I am lounging at home with the family. I swear anytime I have ever left my house like that I see 15 million people, and in my head, I am always so disappointed that I just didn’t take five extra minutes to throw myself together.
It can be really hard to balance out me time when you have a toddler destroying the kitchen as he tries to make himself eggs or an infant crying because she wants mommy milk. Having a go-to outfit is crucial for a mom and any working lady on the go. That way, when you’re in a rush and need to look put-together, you aren’t standing in your closet with a pile of clothes in the floor that you tried on and discarded because you hate them all!
I am really in love with this high-low top and white jeans combo from So-Lace Boutique in Lake City. When you walk into So-Lace, everything jumps out at you and begs you to take it home with you. I LOVE going into the store because they carry pieces that you do not see in every boutique, they stay ahead of trends, and they always find really neat brands to showcase. They recently opened an online website that you can browse from the comfort of your home. I love looking through their new arrivals and adding pieces to my wardrobe throughout the year.
I wear this White Crow high low top and White Rabbit jeans together and separately for really cute outfits. The top paired with these white jeans and fringe heels for a date night or white Jack Rogers sandals to run errands in during the day both make really cute and comfortable outfits to throw on and still look polished. I plan on wearing this soft, thin top paired with denim and white shorts or paired with high wasted bell-bottoms or maxi skirts with cowboy boots. It is important to buy pieces you can style in multiple ways. It makes it seem like you have so many more options! A pair of white pants can never steer you wrong and is definitely a closet staple because you can wear them with practically anything. Dressed down or up, a pair of white pants is one of my favorite pieces to style. Make sure you take a little time for yourself and get an outfit together that makes you feel like the special and beautiful being you are!
