Our Glamping Experience – Part One

This post is in partner with Glamping Hub. All opinions are my own. Please read my disclaimer page for more information.

We just got back from our first glamping experience and we are in LOVE. The kids have been BEGGING to go camping and we decided after much thought that it would be easier to partake in glamping verses camping. Glamping, also known as luxury camping or glamorous camping, is that escape you’ve been meaning to take. Hands down, it was the best vacation we have taken as a family and we know we want to go back in a few months. This particular glamping site is located right outside of Lake Lure, NC (ya know, where Dirty Dancing was filmed!) and this time of year is the perfect time to go because you can experience a true fall! Seeing the reds, yellows, oranges and greens of the trees while riding through the mountains is a must if you love fall.

The exact site we vacationed at is called End of the Road, Near Lake Lure NC. This a community of tiny home log cabin rentals located in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountain foothills near Lake Lure, North Carolina. We booked this trip through a website called Glamping Hub and it was SO easy to set up. Not only that, but once we arrived, we really didn’t have to set up or bring anything! How amazing is that? When you have a large family like I do, being able to take less on a vacation is a LIFESAVER! Some of the amenities of this site includes hot tub units, free wifi, DirectTV, gazebo, hiking trail and a cozy little cabin all to ourselves. I’ve personally never been in a tiny house before but after staying in one for a few nights, I really want to make it more of a habit. They are SO neat and I’m even more intrigued by them now.

Our cabin was the perfect size for our family. Derrek, the baby and myself slept downstairs while Harper and Nolan slept upstairs in the little loft. The older kids were obsessed with the loft area and I can’t blame them, it was SO CUTE! They normally sleep with us at home but they decided the loft was their little space and slept there every night. Harper even asked if we could move there and never come home, haha.

The last thing I want to include on this post was the great customer service we received. Everything was over the top and thought about before we got there and they make it so easy for you to just show up. Outside of our little cabin, the fire pit area up the mountain was our favorite part. The kids found a package in our cabin when we first arrived and it was everything we needed to make s’mores! So we had to visit the fire pit and check it out before nighttime. Not only is that area really nice with big slabs of rock and a tin roof over the fire pit but they had several games like corn hole and life size Jenga for guests to play. Derrek really appreciated the wood already being cut and in the fire pit and I really appreciated the Bluetooth speaker you could connect your phone too! When I say, End of the Road Cabin Rentals thought of everything, I mean it!

I have so much more to share with y’all, including more about the activities we did while we were there so make sure to check back in to read more! If you’re interested in seeing more about this location, please click here.
