How on earth is it already Thursday?! This week has been jam packed with work events, and I’ll be ending the week with the biggest one yet in Charleston. I also went to my hair stylist, Jes Sanders, and had her take me grey again! I’ve really missed it, and I was so sad when it faded. We went darker than I’ve gone before, and I really like it for the winter!
I really love having ONE day off to spend some time just hanging out with my family and not having to drive around all day. We ended up taking the kids to the library and returning their books from last week. They ran over to their section to pick out more! Nothing makes me happier than seeing them get acquainted with the same space I find solace in. Growing up, I would walk over to the library after school and wait on my mom to come get me when she would get off work. I am such a bookworm!
I am really into shopping small for some of the kids’ clothing, and the Swanky Shank is one of my favorite Etsy shops! The owner, Jen Shank, has the best eye for design when it comes to funky creative designs for toddler clothing! “Jen does a lot of remixing of her work. Whether her onesies, dishtowels, shirts or others, she’s able to make small changes for a customer based on a previous piece, or start completely from scratch with her endless supply of fabrics and patterns.” We have a few of her designs and I cannot wait to add more for Christmas! Her shop is closed until Black Friday, BUT you can check out her Instagram to find custom-made clothing like a onesie that has a fabric cactus and “cactus makes perfect” in their signature type writer font! Harper has the cutest orange onesie that has a fabric Starbucks cup and the words “pumpkin spice latte” written on it! Each of her designs are so unique that it’s hard to pick a favorite. I really love the shirt that Nolan has on in these photos. Such a perfect shirt for our lives, haha! Harper has the cutest custom-made skirt with fringe on the pocket. I mean hello! Fringe just calls me and Harper loves girlie girl skirts. I knew it was a win-win when picking out both of those items for the kids.
I’ve got to talk to y’all about Lila Rose Boutique for a few minutes. I am SO proud of my friend and owner of the boutique, Alex! She has started DESIGNING her own pieces, and I must say that every piece is more gorgeous than the last! One of my farboite things about her line is that she is making great pieces but making them in multiple colors! I am such a creature of habit. I love to buy different colors in something that fits me well. I’ve worn this army green sweatshirt countless times since it arrived at my house last week. Not even gonna lie, I did a load of laundry just so I could wear it two days in a row! haha I really love the other colors that it comes in and I’ve linked them here. I really want to add all of them to my wardrobe so I can rotate them and not wash this one every other day. It is so comfy, and it works with everything! I’ve worn it with yoga leggings, jeggings, and jeans. I am so excited to wear Lila Rose pieces, and I cannot wait to see what else she has in store for this season! Go get yours before they are all sold out. They are seriously the perfect fall staple and won’t last long in the shop!
What is your go-to fall piece?
