I have extremely vivid memories of different events during my childhood. Going to the local ice cream shop with my mom is one of them! We didn’t go all of the time, just often enough to make it a much anticipated treat. I remember looking through the glass and wondering which flavor I was going to get when I almost always chose vanilla. Getting the ice cream in a cone was my favorite part! The cones were always sticky and just crunchy enough to make the perfect ending to the treat. I am so grateful for the opportunity to pass down special ice cream dates to my children!

Derrek and I have been working non-stop to keep up with the orders that are coming in, and in the process, we’ve let ourselves get cooped up inside. For me, being stuck inside is just depressing! I tend to change my mindset after a few days of being indoors, and heading into town to get ice cream with the kids was just what we needed. Everyone had a blast, and we all realized how much we needed a fun family date. It’s amazing to me how recharging your batteries and reconnecting with your life can reset your mentality! I strongly encourage you to try it when you are feeling any way but happy. Keeping a healthy happy spirit is constant work, so the more you focus on it the better your life will be.
