As all of you know, it is extremely important to me that the products I use with my family are as organic as possible. After all the research I’ve done, I know what types of toxic chemicals lurk in everyday products, and I think it’s one of my jobs as a mother to protect Nolan and Harper from these dangers. I’m constantly searching for safe products that are still effective at meeting our needs. In my quest, I stumbled upon Four Cow Farm, and even their simple name drew me in.
The Business: Four Cow Farm is based out of Queensland in Australia! The company was founded by a grandmother, affectionately dubbed “Nanna,” who had worked as a midwife and wanted to create natural products for her grandchildren. Using Nanna’s proven recipes, the ladies of the family started producing ‘nothing but the best’ handmade natural skincare products from their farm in the Blackhall Range of Queensland.
Four Cow Farm takes pride in their business for only using the best natural ingredients in their balms, creams and lotions. They do not test their products on animals, their packaging is 100% recyclable and earth-friendly, and their farm runs completely off renewable energy sources! The company promises to never include parabens, sulfates, artificial fragrances or phthalates in their products! And y’all know all that makes this earth-lovin’ mama very happy.
We have begun using all their products in our household, and quite frankly, we are addicted!
The Products: Their baby wash was the first product I tried on the kids. It is 100% pure castile soap made from premium extra virgin cold-pressed olive oil, and this makes it the gentlest all-natural wash you could ever hope to use on your baby and your own skin. They added Echinacea extract to soothe dry or irritated skin, making this body wash all around the best for babies, even those with sensitive skin and skin problems.
The baby lotion by Four Cow Farm is another must have for my baby kit. It is made from extra virgin cold-pressed olive oil and apricot kernel oil. The lotion is filled with Vitamin E which helps soften your skin and calm angry inflamed skin. We love that after we apply, our skin completely absorbs it without leaving a sticky residue. Our entire family has started wearing this lotion because we each love it so much!
The Tea Tree and Calendula Remedy balms are now always with me wherever I go! We use these balms regularly throughout the week. The bases for each of these balms is natural beeswax and extra virgin cold-pressed caster and macadamia oils which protect your skin themselves!
The Tea Tree Remedy is great because it helps soothe and protect the skin. We use it on diaper rashes, bug bites, scrapes, cuts, and bruises. Any time there is inflamed or itchy skin, this balm is quickly applied!
The Calendula Remedy is a rich balm that relieves inflamed or irritated skin. We use it to treat hives, bites, eczema and for soothing cuts. Nolan broke out in hives a few days ago, and they spread over his entire body within an hour. We applied this balm to his body which quickly alleviated the itching, and by the next day the hives vanished!
The last product we use from Four Cow Farm is the Nappy Cream. We use this diaper cream because it has given us the fastest results in clearing up rashes. The anti-inflammatory properties of the castor oil, moisturizing and protective actions of sunflower seed oil, strengthening properties of soy lecithin and protective qualities of zinc oxide all combine to make the perfect mixture to work effectively on your sweet baby’s bottom! While we hate getting diaper rashes, we really love how fast the rashes clear up after we apply our Nappy Cream when they do pop up!
