Ergo Baby Swaddle

This blog has been compensated by Ergo and I received these products in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own. Read my disclaimer page for more information. Now that Scarlet Reese is here, our routine has changed dramatically. Feedings, diaper changes, burping and swaddling have become a part of our everyday lives again. One of the things that can make or break you during the newborn stage is correctly swaddling your little one. The benefits to swaddling have been realized by parents all around the world. Swaddling may lead to longer, sounder sleep, may soothe a crying baby, may reduce the risk of sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS), helps keep the baby warm, and makes babies feel like they are snug like they were in their mother’s wombs.

Researchers have found that for the first 4 to 5 months of babies’ lives, they have a startle reflex which causes their arms and/or legs to jump in a falling sensation. This reflex wakes them up and keeps them from sleeping peacefully. Swaddling a baby keeps the startle reflex at bay and makes them feel secure, allowing for peaceful sleep.

Parents have a tendency to become overwhelmed when it comes to swaddling. Most find that their littles come out of the swaddles that they wrap, and this is where I have found the the Ergo swaddle makes the best choice when it comes to choosing a product best suited for your little.

We are avid Ergo lovers and users and when we found out about the Ergo swaddle, we immediately fell in love. Their swaddle product is really easy to use and keeps littles swaddled and comfortable. The Velcro closure keeps babies wrapped tight while the cotton material is breathable but keeps them warm and feeling secure. Learning how to wrap your baby in the Ergo swaddle couldn’t be easier, especially with a step by step picture diagram that is available on the website. Having a guide makes it a piece of cake, but once you go through the motions a few times, you’ll find that you don’t actually need it.

We have had such a good response from using the Ergo swaddle versus regular swaddle blankets. Scarlet Reese has stayed asleep for longer periods of time and hasn’t cried as much as before. I cannot tell you enough how much more peaceful this product makes your life with a newborn. You’ve got to try it for yourself and thank me after you and your baby benefit from it! Head over to the Ergo baby website to decide which pattern you want for your little one.
