“I just don’t have time for makeup!” I hear this statement all of the time, especially by moms with young kids. Thankfully, I’ve found a solution of the time dilemma with Beautycounter‘s products! I started using Beautycounter almost three years ago when one of my friends started talking to me about the products. I’ve tried lots of “natural” and “organic” brands since changing my lifestyle and they never met my standards. After downloading the “Healthy Living” app, I found out that the reason why was because those products that were labeled as safe and non toxic were the exact opposite. I encourage you to download the app for yourself, start plugging in your beauty products and see what exactly you’re applying to your skin.
Within 26 seconds of applying something to your body, it’s absorbed into your skin. This might not freak you out but finding out what chemicals I was using in the products and what they are linked too really did! I didn’t just throw away everything at once and make the switch, I started with my most toxic products and worked my way down. Thankfully, right now, Beautycounter has a deal going on for their makeup that is really beneficial to your body and your wallet.
The 3 Minute Face is a makeup deal that is only lasting for a short time on the Beautycounter website. With this deal you get all the makeup products you need for a full face of makeup, without it overpowering your face and taking up a lot of your time to apply. I really like this deal because it focuses on your skin tone – helping you make the right choices with your makeup purchases. The head of innovation at Beautycounter, Christy Coleman, formulated this makeup bundle so it would be easier for us to do our makeup! I am at a medium light skin tone right now so the products that I am using are the skin tint foundation in honey, touchup concealer pen – medium 1, color sweep blush duo – bloom/tulip, color define brow pencil – medium and the lip gloss – buff medium. It also comes with a handy cosmetic bag to house all your products in.
The first thing I do to prep my face for makeup is apply the Lustro Oil #3 as a primer. I have found that my makeup goes on so much easier if I prime it first. The next thing that I do is take the retractable brush and apply the Tint Skin Foundation to the center of my face the blend outwards in circular motions. Once my foundation is blended, I apply the Touchup Concealer Pen in a V shape under each eye. I blend it into my skin with my ring finger. After my concealer is set I do apply Mattify powder. I have found that this sets my makeup and makes it last much longer through the day. Once I have applied the Mattify powder, I define my brows with the brow pencil. First, comb your brows upward then take the pencil and make small hair-like strokes from the inside corner of each brow outward. Lightly define the outside corner of each arch and then comb to blend. To get glowing cheeks, take the Angled Blush Brush and apply the Color Sweep Duo along the contour of your cheeks. Smile then apply to the apples of your cheeks and blend. I really need this because it helps put some color on my face! The last step is just apply a little bit of the lip gloss to the top and bottom of your lips and press together. Super easy right? Now you have a put together makeup look that takes less than 5 minutes to complete!
