Work Out Motivation Via New Sneakers

shoes | leggings | tshirt One of my 2017 goals is to work out consistently. When I made this a top priority in my life, I realized how dated my workout wear is – especially my shoes. With the help of KicksUSA, I no longer have that issue. Having a “cute” ensemble isn’t mandatory when you work out, but I have found that it does help with my moral. I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect sneakers that I can wear with anything and I found them on the KicksUSA website. I LOVE these Adidas kicks and I’ve made everyone (including my very fashionable niece) jealous that I have…

    the Perfect White Blouse

blouse | jeans | bangle | diaper bag happy Monday friends! If yours is going anywhere like mine, you require the strongest coffee and the biggest amount of grace. I am lagging today. We stayed up wayyyy to late watching tv (BY THE WAY, have you seen ‘The Arrangement’ on E! It’s my favvvvv!) and I am paying for it today. Scarlet Reese woke me up at 6am by slapping me in the face. Why Beautycounter? Because we deserve better!

I started using Beautycounter almost three years ago when one of my friends started talking to me about the products. I’ve tried lots of “natural” and “organic” brands since changing my lifestyle and they never met my standards. Organic doesn’t always mean safe. Lead, mercury, arsenic. You can have a tube of organic lipstick, that doesn’t mean there isn’t lead in it. After downloading the “Healthy Living” app, I found out that the reason why was because those products that were labeled as safe and non toxic were the exact opposite. I encourage you to download the app for yourself, start plugging in your beauty products and see what exactly…

Blessed by warmer South Carolina weather

shirt | jeans | boots | lip | necklace Y’all, I am so happy I could do a little dance. After an entire week, my husband is finally home! He had to take a work trip and for six days it was just me and the kids. We made it through but it was tough. I took a break from social media last weekend because the kids just needed my full attention and it was much appreciated. My appreciation for single parents or ones with spouses overseas grows bigger by the minute and being alone with the kids for almost a week directed a lot of my thoughts towards them!…

    Staying in the moment

Anyone get FOMO? It’s something that I struggle with. Social media has a way of making it worse. Scrolling someone’s feed and seeing their beautiful vacation pictures, perfect homes and brand new cars. Comparing your life to theirs and wondering why you don’t “have it all.” I read a quote that says “comparison is the thief of joy,” and it couldn’t be more true. I have days where I get so angry that my life isn’t as picture perfect as others. It’s so easy to get into a negative headspace when you are comparing your journey to someone else’s. That sentence really puts it into perspective doesn’t it? Your journey…
